PTI China empowers Pacific skincare brands to secure Asian collaboration opportunities with differentiated advantages

Chinadec2025

PTI China connected leading Pacific skincare brands with the Asian market at the highly anticipated COSMOPROF ASIA HONG KONG 2025 beauty expo.

PTI China again featured prominently at COSMOPROF ASIA HONG KONG 2025, held November 12–14, securing space in the exhibition’s core area. Our carefully designed booth connected four leading skincare brands from the Pacific Islands – Fijian companies Nama Fiji, MESOVU, and Naturally Fiji, alongside Oshin Organics from Papua New Guinea – facilitating their deep engagement with the Asian market.

In the space of just a few days, these brands gained valuable recognition and achieved remarkable results. Each showcased their latest innovations, capturing attention with products tailored to market demands.

Naturally Fiji showcased sustainable packaging innovation by replacing traditional plastic packaging with white, kraft paper bags for its range of soaps. It also expanded its product line by adding a new coconut oil-based lip balm series that balances eco-friendliness and practicality.

Nama Fiji introduced a compact six-piece gift set design. Its portable size significantly boosted retail appeal while maintaining the brand’s core ‘natural sustainability’ advantage.

MESOVU reimagined its classic goat milk handmade soap with a new turmeric fragrance. It targets niche markets by including tattoo ink suppliers among its clientele, leveraging the product’s gentle, non-irritating properties to carve out a new market segment. The brand also introduced its exclusive ‘treasure chest’ packaging, tailored for display in skincare salon settings.

Oshin Organics focused on packaging optimisation, redesigning the bottle and screw cap for its coconut oil products. The addition of an inner lid and measuring spoon enhances user experience and product quality.

The PTI China booth drew high traffic, with all four brand leaders praising the experience. Debra Sadranu, founder and General Manager of Nama Fiji, highlighted the booth’s brand-empowering design. “The vibrant pink palette paired with striking Pacific model imagery made our product attributes instantly recognisable,” she said. “It stood out brilliantly among landscape-themed booths – an exceptional brand showcase.”

Notably, Nama Fiji recently achieved multiple milestones, including: Debra delivered a keynote address at Hong Kong’s Sustainable Cosmetics Summit Asia 2025 (#SCSAP2025) a few days before the expo, and the brand will host the CIDESCO World Congress in Fiji in August 2026. Milestones further solidify Nama Fiji’s influence in the Asian market.

Beatrice Nast, founder and owner of MESOVU, was strongly aligned with the exhibition’s natural skincare philosophy, noting it was a perfect fit with her brand’s positioning.

Ernestine Kong, founder and CEO of Oshin Organics, and Aachal Adarshini, Product Development & Admin Supervisor of Naturally Fiji, spoke about the exhibition’s ability to facilitate business connections.

“We secured numerous high-quality leads on the first day alone,” said Ernestine. “The proportion of professional visitors was exceptionally high, and new collaboration models like online stores and livestream sales were more diverse than previous years, offering multifaceted approaches for expanding our brands into the Asian market.”

Among the participating brands, Nama Fiji and MESOVU are returning exhibitors supported by PTI China. Both brand leaders were grateful for the ongoing assistance from PTI China’s Trade division, and said the exhibition opened crucial pathways into the Chinese market.

Nama Fiji’s growth has been particularly remarkable. With PTI China’s support, the brand has successfully obtained Hong Kong trademark certification. Debra Sadranu said this has laid a solid foundation for deep cultivation of the Asian market. “This milestone breakthrough significantly enhanced trust in the brand among mainland and Hong Kong importers, distributors and consumers,” she said.

Yolanda Jiang, Head of Exports of PTI China, remarked on the benefits for brands working with PTI China to participate at COSMOPROF ASIA. “The outstanding performance at this beauty exhibition showcases the product strength and innovation of the four Pacific Island brands,” she said. “It’s also a testament to PTI China’s ongoing efforts to propel premium Pacific brands into international markets. We will continue to serve as a vital bridge, empowering more Pacific brands to tap into the Chinese market and helping their natural skincare products shine even brighter!”
