Pacific Trade Invest (PTI) Australia has launched the Website Design Accelerator Program, a targeted initiative designed to support Pacific businesses to strengthen their digital presence and export readiness. Applications are now open and will close Friday 27 February 2026.
The Website Design Accelerator Program responds to a clear shift in global buyer behaviour. Increasingly, purchasing decisions are shaped before any direct engagement takes place, with buyers independently researching and shortlisting suppliers online. For Pacific businesses seeking to enter or expand in international markets, a professional and credible website is becoming an increasingly important component of effective export engagement.
Building on PTI Australia’s previous digital capability initiatives – including the Digital Services Program, Social Media for e-Business Scholarship Program and PTI Australia x Canva Digital Design Program – the Website Design Accelerator Program represents the next phase of PTI’s work to strengthen digital trade capability across our region.
Jeremy Grennell, General Manager – Exports, PTI Australia, said digital credibility is now a baseline expectation in international trade.
“For Pacific businesses engaging with global markets, a professional website is often the first place buyers and distributors go to assess credibility and capability. It plays a critical role in building trust, clearly communicating value and opening commercial conversations overseas.”
The program will work directly with selected businesses to develop a fit-for-purpose website aligned to their export proposition. Importantly, participants will also gain the practical skills required to manage and update their website independently, ensuring long-term capability remains with the business.
The accelerator has been deliberately designed without ecommerce functionality, reflecting the diversity of banking systems and payment regulations across Pacific markets and providing businesses with greater flexibility as they look to scale. Instead, the program seeks to focus on building a strong digital foundation that supports buyer engagement, partnerships and future market entry strategies.
The program will be delivered by Asha Forsyth, a Sydney-based design and communications specialist with extensive experience supporting Pacific MSMEs. Asha brings deep expertise in brand positioning, storytelling and user-centred web design, working closely with each business to translate its export offering into a clear, buyer-ready digital presence.
The program is open to Pacific businesses that are actively promoting a product or service online, have an established social media presence and a business or product logo, but do not currently have a website. While participation is heavily subsidised by PTI Australia, successful applicants will be required to cover the cost of a domain name and an ongoing website subscription.
Through initiatives such as the Website Design Accelerator Program, PTI Australia continues to support Pacific businesses to build capability, strengthen market positioning and engage confidently with buyers in Australia and beyond.
