Glynis heads PTI NZ and brings with her a wealth of experience of the Blue Pacific region in both policy and technical coordination.
Most recently at the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat, Glynis is passionate about supporting Pacific Island Countries to realise their potential through growing in their export capability as well as securing investment into business and infrastructure.
Alex is the marketing and communications person for PTI New Zealand, and is dedicated to telling the stories of the Blue Pacific. Previously he established and ran the most successful publicity campaign in New Zealand history; and was the group marketing manager of a company that twice won Western Australian company of the year. An ocean navigator and sailor, Alex has written extensively about vaka moana, the traditional voyaging canoes of the Pacific.
Rohan leads the investment programme at PTI NZ. He leverages his experience and exposure by working closely with investors globally and aligns their interest with the investment ready opportunities in the Blue Pacific. He also works closely with local businesses offering them professional advice to become investment ready and connects them to the interested investor.
Shahban leads the trade programme, advancing Pacific Trade Invest's strategic objectives across the Blue Pacific region by strengthening export capability, fostering strategic partnerships, and facilitating market access opportunities that support sustainable trade and economic growth. Originally from Fiji, he holds a Master's degree in Diplomacy and International Relations and brings extensive private-sector leadership experience in commercial operations and supply chain management to his work in trade development.
Shivani is the office manager at PTI New Zealand. Shivani brings a wealth of experience from her background in Banking industry and is responsible for all office management, payroll including financial accounting and maintenance of the stakeholder contacts and database. She is also heavily involved with the event planning and logistics of PTI events such as trade shows and conferences.
Makelesi Raibe is the Special Projects Lead at PTI NZ. Originally from the Fiji Islands, she brings a wealth of experience in private sector development, programme and grant management, and business advisory services. Fueled by her passion for creating broader positive impact and systemic change in the Pacific, Makelesi made a major career shift four years ago to work in private sector development after seven years with one of the Big Four accounting firms. Makelesi manages business risk assessments, coordinates special projects, and oversees the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Workplan at PTI NZ.
Linda brings to the team vast experience from the intergovernmental (Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat and Forum Fisheries Agency), not for profit and crown entity spaces in the Pacific and New Zealand. Her recent studies in the areas of Finance and Investment Management strengthen her ability to support PTINZ in this role. She is a part-time staff.
David brings more than 20 years of management and operational leadership experience across the not-for-profit, government, and international development sectors. His expertise spans human resources, finance, compliance, governance, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement. Having worked extensively in multicultural environments across New Zealand and Africa, David is committed to building strong organisational systems and supporting impactful outcomes for Pacific businesses and communities. He is passionate about building effective organisations, strengthening governance and compliance systems, and fostering positive partnerships across diverse cultural environments. He holds qualifications in Human Resource Management, Sustainable Development Planning and Management, and Political Science
